Sirarusis the 2. planet in the Gaigalus (TGE921) system
written by king1178
This planet is inhabited by a fungal race called Sirarrians. They move about by using an inflated cap filled with a mixture of CH4 (Methane) and NH3 (Ammonia), and four specialized vents that function like the hyponome of a cephalopod. They have four tentacle like tendrils that are used to assist in motion and to bring food up to the valve like mouth structure. They also have four pairs of compound eyes, with each pair being located on the stem between two of the tendrils. They require an atmosphere of at least 50% N2 (Nitrogen) and 28% O2 (Oxygen), however more than 45% O2 is toxic to them. It's a collaborative community website where all users can help to fill the galaxy with life. A wiki is software that allows users to create, edit, and link web pages easily, and one of the best known wikis is Wikipedia. Just as Wikipedia allows to edit articles, Galaxiki allows to edit stars, planets and moons. In fact you may consider each object in our science fiction galaxy to be one editable article:
One of the most interesting points is that your work doesn't have to be isolated. In general we'd like to follow common physical rules, but as this is a science fiction site some physical rules can be broken, and that's how it's allowed to travel faster than light in our galaxy. Which means that species from different planets and solar systems can meet, and users have to take care to keep the entire histories and stories consistent. |
