Solar system 'Alma Dominion (LAA631)' comprises the star 'Alma Dominion' and the retinue of celestial objects gravitationally bound to it: 8 planets and their 64 moons, as well as asteroids, meteoroids, planetoids, comets, and interplanetary dust.

The principal component of this star system is the star 'Alma Dominion', a red dwarf class star that contains about 99.99% of the system's known mass and dominates it gravitationally. Alma Dominion is located more than 5649 lightyears from the center of the galaxy.

Valen, the second planet in this system, may feature life forms. Its average temperature is 294K (21C) and it's atmosphere contains 28% of oxygen. One year on Valen lasts 75 days, one day lasts 9 hours. It's diameter is 22478 km, 1.7 times the diameter of the Earth.

Sumeret, the third planet in this system, features organic life forms generally very intelligent that have developed a high tech civilisation capable of utilizing hyperspace technology to explore their own solar system as well as distant star systems. Its average temperature is 305K (32C) and it's atmosphere contains 47% of oxygen. One year on Sumeret lasts 476 days, one day lasts 9 hours. It's diameter is 23374 km, 1.8 times the diameter of the Earth.

Billions of years ago, the Almighty race strode the stars like gods, ruling an empire unrivaled in strength or power by any government today. They steamrolled any threat to their power with colossal interstellar singularity cannons that ripped the fabric of time-space to turn rival worlds into black holes. The Almighty fleets even broke dimensional bonds, traveling beyond this universe to the next, conquering it as well and establishing the first and only instance of interdimensional travel. After having literally conquered time-space, the Almighty people grew bored, for nothing could challenge their might nor intellect, leaving the noble race to grow complacent. To give their existence meaning, scientists began work on a most ambitious project, the Golden Ladder. The Almighties intended to create a beacon of impossibly powerful psychic energy connecting each and every sentient creature in their empire to it, then harvesting the energy to bring about the divine ascension of the Almighty race. In short, they would become gods. After thousands of years of work, the Golden Ladder was completed, and the entire Almighty race gathered in preparation for what they called Ascension Day. When the Golden Ladder was activated, it created a psychic flare equal in force to that of a million exploding stars, destroying billions of the sentient creatures linked to the beacon, driving thousands of races to extinction in a single moment, scouring their worlds barren of life with storms of psychic lightning. The worlds of the Almighty were somewhat spared, although millions of their kind died alongside their subject races in the ensuing storm. A small fraction of the Almighty race did indeed become gods. But this was only in a sense, by transforming into beings of pure psychic energy, able to travel across the multiverse with but a single thought.

The Golden Ladder had fulfilled its intended purpose, but at a cost: The Almighty race was near total collapse, with entire worlds depopulated by the psychic storms, their near magical sciences and machines reduced to almost nothing. The empire was no more, with only Abbah (NKD095), the original home system of their race having escaped unscathed. The Almighty abandoned their home planet, and set out across the stars, fixing their scarred worlds and reseeding them with life. After they finished this task, it was believed they simply vanished, waiting for a time they could return and begin their empire anew.

When all of their empire's worlds were reseeded with life, the Almighty race did not vanish. In fact, it was quite the opposite. They instead went to the Refuge Points, various solar systems in their multidimensional empire that would serve as temporary lodgings in case of a catastrophe. This system was one of them.
