The principal components of this star system are the stars 'LAC638.A' and 'LAC638.B' that dominate it gravitationally. 'LAC638.A' is a red giant class star that contains about 79% of the system's known mass, 'LAC638.B' is a red giant class star that contains about 20% of the system's known mass.

System 'LAC638' is located more than 5448 lightyears from the center of the galaxy.
