The principal components of this star system are the stars 'LBA040.A' and 'LBA040.B' that dominate it gravitationally. 'LBA040.A' is a red giant class star that contains about 80% of the system's known mass, 'LBA040.B' is a red giant class star that contains about 19% of the system's known mass.

System 'LBA040' is located more than 5104 lightyears from the center of the galaxy.
