The principal components of this star system are the stars 'TAC400.A' and 'TAC400.B' that dominate it gravitationally. 'TAC400.A' is a red giant class star that contains about 85% of the system's known mass, 'TAC400.B' is a red giant class star that contains about 14% of the system's known mass.

System 'TAC400' is located more than 573 lightyears from the center of the galaxy.
