The principal components of this star system are the stars 'VBC238.A' and 'VBC238.B' that dominate it gravitationally. 'VBC238.A' is a red supergiant class star that contains about 84% of the system's known mass, 'VBC238.B' is a red giant class star that contains about 15% of the system's known mass.

System 'VBC238' is located more than 1440 lightyears from the center of the galaxy.
