The principal component of this star system is the star 'VCD404', a red dwarf class star that contains about 99.23% of the system's known mass and dominates it gravitationally. VCD404 is located more than 1440 lightyears from the center of the galaxy.

VCD404.1, the first planet in this system, may feature life forms. Its average temperature is 260K (-13C) and it's atmosphere contains 19% of oxygen. One year on VCD404.1 lasts 192 days, one day lasts 3 hours. It's diameter is 23864 km, 1.8 times the diameter of the Earth.
