The principal components of this star system are the stars 'VCK966.A' and 'VCK966.B' that dominate it gravitationally. 'VCK966.A' is a yellow giant class star that contains about 93% of the system's known mass, 'VCK966.B' is a red giant class star that contains about 6% of the system's known mass.

System 'VCK966' is located more than 1440 lightyears from the center of the galaxy.
